Contact Us
There are three ways you can get in touch with us. They are by:
Please feel free to contact Planned Parenthood of Toronto to let us know what you think of
the website, or get more information about it, and to ask us any questions you have
about sexual health.
HOW WE HANDLE YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT SEX AND HEALTH
Our trained youth volunteers have completed a training course in how to share information
about sexual health with people close to their age. One of them will be your contact.
All our services are anonymous and confidential.
Anonymous means that we:
- do not trace calls, so your phone call is private
- do not have call display, so we can’t see your phone number
- do not track IP addresses, so there’s no record of any online contact
Confidential means that we will not provide any information that you shared
during a conversation with us to anyone outside of our organization except when the following two things happen together:
- if you are aged 15 and under and tell us that someone has harmed you
in the past, is harming you in some way now, or that they will probably
harm you in the near future
- you give us identifying information (like your name, address or phone
number)
If you are 15 or younger, have told us that you have been physically hurt by
someone (or might be) and you have given us your name or some other detail
that identifies you, we are obligated by law to inform the police and/or child
protection authorities.
In order to keep communication with us open and respectful, please:
- do not flame or harass the staff and volunteers of spiderbytes.ca
- do not contact us with offensive, derogatory, abusive or discriminatory messages
- do not contact us with solicitations – real, virtual or telephonic
If you violate any of the above, we will contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
regarding email harassment and improper use of the Internet.
We will report repeated violations to the police and, in the course of an investigation, we will
be required to provide information which may identify you.
EMAIL
We would like to know what you think of this site. Email us! What do you want more of?
What should we change? What should we add? Your comments will help us make
spiderbytes.ca better.
If you tried our website’s search option, and still can’t find the information you need, you
can email us with your question. Know that your message is completely private, as long as
you respect the points outlined above.
A trained peer volunteer will respond to your email within 3 days. Unfortunately, this
service is only available to youth contacting us from the Greater Toronto Area.
LIVE CHAT
Planned Parenthood Toronto uses MSN Messenger for live chat. A Windows Live ID is
enough to start. Or, if you are using Hotmail, Messenger or Xbox LIVE, you are ready to go.
Your live chat will be with one of the youth volunteers, who is trained to respond to sexual
health questions and concerns. It will be kept confidential.
Open:
Monday to Wednesday from 4 pm to 9 pm
Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm (noon) to 6 pm
PHONE
If you are in the Toronto area, you can call 416-961-3200. The phone will be answered by
one of our Teen Sex Information Program (TSIP) youth volunteers. The call is free to those
living in Toronto. The TSIP offers information, support and referrals and, unless there are
legal concerns, your call is kept confidential and anonymous.
