  • UTI is short for urinary tract infection
  • It is an infection of the bladder and the urethra
  • The bladder is the sac that holds urine, while the urethra is the tube that carries urine out of the bladder
  • A UTI is also called cystitis or a bladder infection
  • Urinary tract infections are not sexually transmitted

Unusual periods that seem too

  • Often
  • Heavy
  • Long

Spotting (getting small drops of blood between periods)
