From the nipples

  • A few drops of fluid coming out of your nipples is normal This fluid is:
  • Usually thin and whitish in colour
  • Sometimes a little green, grey, or yellowish

From the vagina

Mucus coming out of the vagina is normal. Healthy mucus:

  • Changes throughout the menstrual cycle
  • Can be sticky, thick, stretchy or slippery
  • May be seen on your toilet paper, in between your labia, on your underwear, and dried in your pubic hair
  • Is clear, whitish, or yellowish in colour
  • Has a mild odour
  • Comes from your vagina and cervix
  • Works to clean and protect these parts of your body

From the nipples

Visit a clinic if the fluid coming from your nipples:

  • Changes
  • Thickens
  • Turns brownish
  • Has blood in it

From the vagina

  • During an infection, a female may see a discharge coming from her vagina
  • Discharge is different to the normal vaginal mucus 

Discharge from an infection can be:

  • Thick and lumpy
  • Grey, green, or brownish
  • Fishy or strong smelling

Fluid from the penis

Any fluid besides pre-cum and semen is usually the sign of infection
