Hormones are a type of chemical in your body. Different hormones have different jobs.
Sex hormones:

• create all the physical and emotional changes that happen during puberty
• are all found in both males and females
• are called
  • testosterone
  • progesterone and
  • estrogen

During puberty:

• the male body begins to produce more testosterone
• the female body begins to produce more progesterone and estrogen
