What are hormones?
Hormones are a type of chemical in your body. Different hormones have different jobs.

The sex hormones

• create all the physical and emotional changes during puberty
• are all found in both males and females
• are called - testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen

During puberty,

• the male body begins to produce more testosterone
• the female body begins to produce more progesterone and estrogen
