It Just Happened Once

  • Lots of people have a same-sex experience regardless of whether they call themselves lesbian, gay, bi, or heterosexual.
  • A same-sex experience can be anything from a moment of attraction to fooling-around.
  • Maybe you really enjoyed it, and think you might be lesbian, gay or bi. That's okay.
  • Maybe you enjoyed it, but know you're not lesbian, gay or bi. That's okay too.

Tips

  • Remind yourself that same-sex experiences are normal for everyone.
  • It's okay to just wait and see if it happens again.
  • There's no rush to label yourself with a specific sexual orientation, and you actually never have to.
  • If you think you may be lesbian, gay or bi and want to learn more:
    • read some books or internet sites about same-sex relationships
    • visit a community group for teens exploring their own sexuality
